- To: info-hams@ucsd.edu
-
- I bought a neat little VLF receiver at a swap meet this past weekend.
- I would like to identify it since all identification was missing.
- Here is a description...perhaps someone out there knows this thing:
-
- Frequency range: 3KHz-420KHz (yes...I that's right 3KHz!)
- Size: 9"w x 5.5"h x 6.5"d
- Power: 28 volts < 100 mA
- Modes: AM/USB/LSB
- S meter in upper right hand corner
- Solid state ..TO-5 transistors mainly.
-
-
- It's a cute radio and has two good crystal filters. Apparently
- it has a 500KHz i.f. and is a single conversion RX
- with xtal controlled BFO for USB/LSB.
-
-
- Anyone know this rig? Any LOWfers out there?
-
- Thanks in advance,
